Why am I fundraising?
Hello!My name is Macie and I am a student at NC State! I have recently become an avid runner and decided to sign up for the RDC marathon for ALS research. I am very fortunate to have a body that allows me to do things, like running, but not everyone can do so. In the U.S. alone, ALS will take the lives of over 5,000 people a year. I am running for Team Bereman Brave. Dr. Michael Bereman was an associate professor of chemistry at NC State who unfortunately passed away from ALS. As a current student, his story inspired me to support a fellow member of the pack and continue to share his story. Please help me raise money for the much-needed research to find a cure for ALS!
